Bridal Talk Tuesday!

Linking up Elizabeth again (:

After I got back from my mini vacation from nursing school, I had a small amount of time to prepare to start school and get some wedding stuff done. I started getting really nervous about finding bridesmaid dresses. So I asked 3 of my girls (all of my local bridesmaids) if we could go shopping. It was literally spur of the moment, I asked them the night before and they all were free. It was perfect... even more so when our hunt for the perfect bridesmaid dress was complete.

I called to make appointments at three places right before they closed. At the first place we did not see much, but it was a nice place to start. I liked these, but they did not come in any color that I was looking for.

Then the second boutique carried prom attire along with bridal gowns. My mom encourage my maid of honor [rHj] to try some on. Here was one that I sent to my Bridesmaids as a joke. It was the pink that we were looking for, haha!

Then we moved on to Bridesmaid dresses!

Top picks from bridal shop #2..  of course they came in pink!

my besties- rHj, kRl, and kCl

On to Bridal Shop #3 (Where I bought my wedding dress!!)

Had to post this of Little Miss Southern Love! Isn't she stunning!?
I liked some long dresses, but I think short would be more comfortable for a Florida wedding.

Now for the dress my Bridesmaids will be wearing!!
My lovely ladies will be wearing this preppy dress in PINK! (:
All of us after a very successful day!

I was so nervous that I would never be able to decide. Then it came along when we least expected it. I also tried on my wedding dress (Not my actual dress) for Little Miss Southern Love & rHj, kCl was with me when I bought it. Mine should actually arrive any day now... I cannot wait!!

Let me know what you think!
Happy Tuesday everyone!!

Back on Track!

I have been so busy getting settled after my vacation and starting my last semester of nursing school! I am excited to get into a weekly routine, so I can get back to my blogging and reading! Luckily I have some great tools to help me keep organized this semester! Here is my must have list for Fall semester...

Lilly Pulitzer planner! (:
I love having a daily agenda. Being able to write down my schedule and to-do list is always helpful.
Apple OS X Lion
I recently got the newest desktop operating system by Apple. It is fabulous and I know it will help me multitask while completing projects and studying. If you have a mac you should definitely check it out!

Staedtler pens are my favorite.
I like to color coordinate my planner and notes, so these are perfect. For example I like to write personal plans in pink, class in green, and exams in orange. I find this to be very helpful when I glance at my week to see if I need to study or complete a project.

I originally downloaded this app because it had an elephant as the icon, but then I discovered how useful it is. For school to-do lists and wedding planning, Evernote helps me remember everything! Since I have OS X Lion I can have evernote on my macbook in addition to my iPhone.

Do you have any favorite organizational tools? If you do feel free to share them in the comment box. Have a great Monday!

Bridal Talk Tuesday!

I have truly missed linking up with Elizabeth for Bridal Talk Tuesday!
While I was gone I did keep up with my pinning on Pinterest. I have seen so many amazing wedding ideas. I created a board for "Wedding Inspiration." Thanks to my iPhone, I have the Pinterest APP and was able to  pin while I was away. If you do not have an account and would like an invite I would be more than happy to send you one. Just email me at PreppyWifePreppyLife@gmail.com

Now on to some fabulous ideas!

Before the ceremony the bride and groom wanted a picture together, but didn't want to see each other. So they took this adorable shot.

Does the fabric pattern alone tell you why I love this cake table?

I love the idea of signature drinks. We were thinking of having one, but this his & her's idea is so cute.

My garter may end up being blue, but I thought painting the bottom of a pair of shoes blue was a really cute idea.

I have gotten a few koozies from weddings, but thought if I did them I wouldn't know what to put on them. I just love the saying on theses ones. They would be cute in wedding colors too (Pink & Navy)

Now this is a creative bride. She wrote a sweet message to each of her bridesmaids on the bottom of their shoes.

Where do you find wedding inspiration?
Have a happy Tuesday y'all! <3

Hey y'all!

I'm back! I just got back after being out of town for 2 weeks. I went to Ohio for a family wedding and to spend time with my loved ones. It was an amazing trip! I helped both of my grandmothers out and got lots of time with everyone. Hope everyone has had a great 2 weeks! I cannot wait to catch up on my reading. Oh boy, it will probably take awhile. For now I am unpacking and cleaning up my room. I will leave you with a little tease from my cousins BEAUTIFUL WEDDING!
